Countdown to qualifying: Rivals set to take on Camier
Rivals battling to close down Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier

Leon Camier may have been the fastest rider on circuit at Cadwell Park for the final free practice session of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship in association with Pirelli but there were several of his rivals battling to close him down.

Hydrex Honda's Stuart Easton had another strong performance, having a steady start to the session but was able to put a lap in with just over ten minutes remaining to edge ahead of rookie Lowry on the Relentless Suzuki by TAS for second. The second Hydrex Honda of Karl Harris shot up to third in the final five minutes of the session which nudged Lowry further back to fourth.

Lowry upped his impressive pace from yesterday's sessions to lead for most of the final practice, but with 20 minutes on the clock championship leader Camier put himself back at the front and he gradually nudged back by the flying Hydrex Hondas.

Confused.com Kawasaki's Julien Da Costa was able to put in a faster lap in the final moments to move ahead of Graeme Gowland on the Motorpoint/Henderson Yamaha in the final two minutes. Gowla had been running as high as third with just over ten minutes to go, whilst team-mate Chris Walker had a tough session finishing 16th fastest.

Karl Muggeridge made leaps forward from yesterday's sessions to move inside the top eight on the HM Plant Honda, whilst team-mate John McGuinness suffered a technical problem towards the end of the session and finished 14th.

Worx Crescent Suzuki's Sylvain Guintoli continued to get to grips with the circuit and ended the session ninth fastest, ahead of Simon Andrews on the second Confused.com Kawasaki who rounded out the top ten.
